Not top notch, but a very nice place. We came here because we had a wedding to attend in the ballroom of the hotel. Staff was friendly, and willing to accommodate our needs for the wedding. They took away extra tables and provided us with extra trash cans. Melody Bell, the wedding coordinator, checked in with us often. The rooms were small with a complete refrigerators and a small balcony. Very nice, and perfect for our needs. The bridal suit was HUGE! It had a jaccussi, shower, full kitchen and living room. The downside to this was that when the bride and groom went to use the jaccussi on their wedding night, it began to leek. The next morning, the bride and groom asked for some compensation cause their room was broken. The hotel was unwilling to compensate them for their broken room, and a ruined wedding night.

I've stayed at nicer hotels for sure, but the location is pretty great only one block from the beach and sitting right on the bay. The rooms have tile which is bizarre and kind of gross, but they do have huge Jacuzzi tubs. We stayed here for a wedding and I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Over all it wasn't busy but being off peak I'm sure this place is nuts during the summer.

We visited the Coconut Malorie Resort in the off season so your experience here when they are busy might be different than ours. That said! When we went to the Coconut Malorie it was nice, quiet, and peaceful. I found the staff helpful, and housekeeping always made sure you and whatever you needed (towels, etc). The gym is accessible through the 5th floor (via a stair well) and in the winter months there isn't any heat up there it seems so it's pretty chilly. Some of the equipment is kind of old and maybe just a wee bit inaccurate, but if you need a work out, it'll get the job done. Also, unless you are willing to let the water run (and run and run and run) you would have to just be satisfied with a luke warm shower (at best). Sometimes even letting the water run would yield the same results. Noise travels through the adjoining door in your room, so if you have a chatty neighbor, you'll know. I could hear FaceTime calls and their cells ringing, and most conversations, so needless to say I was happy when they checked out. My recommendations are to try to book a room that faces the bay, at least you'll be able to get a breeze (our room stayed HOT and stuffy, even with the balcony door open, plus the AC didn't work, maybe because technically it was cold out even though it was 75° in our room) And try to get a room that isn't adjoined to another. Otherwise you should be okay here. They are about a block and a half (give or take) from the beach and about a 2 minute walk to the bay (which you can see from the westerly facing windows) so it's nice overall. It's not like you spend a whole lot of time in your room right? Would I stay here again... maybe. I have guilt over the unavoidable amount of water we wasted while staying here in hopes of taking a hot shower, but it really wasn't too bad overall. The staff is really nice and that kind of makes up for the rest.

Beautiful room over looking the bay. Quick walk to the beach, only a block. 7/11 was right there so that was good. Downfalls: very very small kitchen with no counter space. Also it's right next to fagers island that gets REALLY loud at night, can enjoy the night with the balcony doors open.

Nice place, good location near Fager's Island, great price on the booking. No complaints about the place, nicely decorated, staff were friendly and our room was clean.

Myself and a few friends stayed here this past weekend. It was really nice for the price we paid. We were close to everything. I would recommend staying here and I'd stay again. The room was cleaned daily and the staff was really helpful and polite.

I tried to setup a group rate for my wedding this year on 4/4/14, note, not a busy time in OC, MD. Melody Bell was really unhelpful and constantly changed her facts. She told me that she would offer my guests a rate of $120/night and to have them call her directly. Then when my aunt called, she said I had never set anything up. When I called her back I was told that they are completely booked for my date, which is very doubtful! I seriously think that she may be crazy!

Great value for a nice, clean room and great view. My only real complaints are about their housekeeping. The first day they didn't come at all. When I got back to the room around 2pm I requested service at the front desk. Housekeeping came and it only appeared they fixed the bed. They also left a dirty rubber glove on my clothes. On the day of check out they came into the room without knocking even though the do not disturb sign was still out. All in all it was a very cool place but the housekeeping problems need to be corrected.

I'm a BIG fan of value and location. This resort has the best location and value in my opinion for downtown Ocean City, MD. Dead Freddies, the Bonfire Restaurant, Sky Bar, Macky's, Fager's Island, and Seacrets are all a short walk away. The rooms and accommodations are bit outdated... Some might argue that they are "ghetto", but I love it here and have been staying here for years during Memorial Day Weekend. There is also a great view of the bay in many of the rooms and it's only a block or two away from the beach. If you are looking for quiet atmosphere, this may not be the best choice because of it approximate location -- right in front of Fager's Island -- a popular nightclub/restaurant. Despite it's shortcomings, there are too many perks to pass up and I will be staying here again soon.

Room was beautiful, one king with a sleeper sofa. Hotel was accommodating to our last minute booking during the hottest season. Great location, right off the bridge and a very short drive to the boardwalk. Only complaint? Parking was a slight nightmare. We had two cars and only one parking pass, meaning we had to find street parking or in the side lot by the frat party that goes on at the restaurant behind the hotel. Also very clean!!

Wow! Wow! 5 star for service! The staff at the front are exceptional!!! (Kyle (awesome), Micheal, Martin, Vickie, Cheryl and Raquel). They offer late check out (ask the evening shift the night before you leave). The location is Bayside, a short walk(within 5 minutes or less) to Fagers Island. They offer golf carts to pick and drop you off. Walking distance to 7-11 and bars/restaurants. 2-3 blocks to beach. The room was mind blowing! The Presidential suite, corner street view. 2 mini balconies (living room, bedroom). Super Clean. Adding pics to show you. By the way, does no justice. The full kitchen (no blender :( ), the living room with pull out sofa (mattress is thin, bring comforter to line it), the closet space, plenty of drawers for storing, lots of counters and mirrors (great for getting ready), Double shower heads in the beautiful bathroom, just loved it! They have an ok pool, not huge and a hot tub like a 2 seater next to the pool. Here is why I gave 4... Parking is one space per room. If your friend/other half joins you late, well... you have to park on the side street. During the day, you can find a spot BUT as evening approaches, the spots get taken up by party goers heading to Fagers Island which is conveniently located behind the resort. That leads me into the time to people watch 1-3 a.m. when Fagers last call. The crowd of people cover the streets. The crowd does leave, they do not linger around. Security or the parking attendant does a great job keeping them moving. So it gets noisy, if you have windows open. It dies down quick. This is a great place to stay.

This place is pretty awesome!!! When it comes to hotels I really don't like to spend a bunch of money, as Im hardly ever in my room. So it should come as no surprise that the first thing that caught my eye was the price (super reasonable). Then location (its only one block off the strip, 3 from the beach itself). They've also learned a valuable lesson, a friendly and courteous staff goes a long way. Rouquelle (who's name I'm sure I spelled wrong) was wonderfully patient as I barraged her with questions and even told me what tourist traps to avoid. The room itself? It's like taking it all with you whilst going away. Big comfy living room with entertainment center, full kitchenette with fridge, freezer, and stove, whirlpool tub in the bathroom (nuff said) and a decent sized bed. All in all this place rocks, do yourself a favor and stay here! Now if you'll excuse me I have to review the rib place TWO BLOCKS from here

Very simple, unpretentious hotel. Our room had a balcony with views of the water (and the Fager's Island parking lot, which is a lot more entertaining than it sounds). We had a small living room with a pull-out-bed couch, dining table, side chair and television; a fully-stocked small kitchen with fridge and microwave; a bathroom with one of those jacuzzi tubs and great lighting; and a small bedroom with another tv. It was clean and very peaceful - would definitely recommend.

I went to the Coconut Malorie Resort for a birthday celebration with my girlfriends and i was pleasantly surprised by what i experienced. The price wasn't bad and was really nice compared to some of the places I've been to in OC. We had a beautiful view of the bay-side from our balcony! Overall, great service and great atmosphere!

A 4 stars based on the hotels within radius. I have been all along the area and the comparable hotels are dumpy-looking. I was happy with Coconut Malorie Resorts but compared to other hotels I've been outside of Maryland to its not much more than a 3 star rating. During June I stayed in a studio suite that had bed (duh.), a couch (not sure if it pulls out) and a small kitchenette. One keyword: Simple. This hotel offers the basics of a beautiful view, a small pool along with jacuzzi, generic amenities, ample parking and great location to the bus stop (the best way to travel the strip--$1 per ride or $3 for all day). It is next to a 711 that sells booze and also near a handful of restaurants/bars, including Seacrets. 1- 1 1/2 blocks to the beach. Here are the crappy part(s): The outside deck is tiny and a chair will not fit. The restaurant Fagers is next door so while it's pretty sweet to be within walking distance, it also blows that you get stuck with the view of their parking lot. The pool is nice but small---may fill up fast when there isn't any vacancy. The lotion sample smells like a cardboard box. Some items could use an upgrade, lets start with my gripe on the lotion sample. The better half: Fagers is downstairs so get liquored up and stumble home if that's what floats your boat. Ice maker is in the freezer. Remember your bubble bath--the tub has jets (not amazing, simple but still good bath). The ceiling fan is a great back up plan for when the A/C just isn't enough. Kitchenette included dish soap, wine glasses, silverware, pan, toaster, coffeemaker, cookware, ect... The maid service was on point. Nice sheets and comfy bed were where I slept like a baby. Would I come back? Probably. The price was a little iffy.

July 27th,2014. I booked a room through priceline.com 7 months in advance for a one bedroom suite, upon arriving and entering the room i was surprised to see a small standard studio, not nearly big enough for four people and not what i paid for, i returned to the desk at exactly 4pm and all management went home already. I had a very young unexperienced clerk to fix my problem. He agreed , yes this is not the room u paid for but i cannot help u. I have no other rooms today, tmrw, or all week for that matter. He was not sympathic at all and did not care one bit. I was basically screwed. Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen.

If Resort is french for dump then this place qualifies. Our room was out dated complete with a 1970s Jack Tripper pull out bed. The rug was dirty and looked like it was salvaged from a crime scene. The bathroom was nasty with cracked tile, ants and grout that should have been repaired 10 years ago. We never used the pool because it just looked gross. Oh, and did I mention that every employee who actually spoke english was rude and ignorant? One star for the view. Avoid this sh*thole like the plague!

I stayed here with my girlfriend for three nights. The room was nice, and clean and housekeeping was there everyday. The hotel is in a great location, two blocks from the beach/bus stop, also the view of the bay from our room was really nice. My only complaint was with the air conditioning. When we checked in the room was hot! I flipped on the air conditioning, in an hour or two it had only dropped one degree. I put my had up to the vent, the air was cool but damp I then remembered noticing a musty dampness as soon as we walked into the lobby, and in the hallways leading up to our room. I called the front desk to see if there was something they could do about it, but I was not hopeful assuming that if the whole building was damp then there would be nothing that they could do for any room in particular. They sent someone from maintenance up, he checked the vent and said that the air conditioning actually is working, but because of the extreme heat (85 degrees that day) it is not very cold he said it would get better as it cooled off at night. It did get colder as the night went on but it stayed really damp in the room, to the point where our clothes felt wet in our suitcases. I cooked two fillets in a pan Saturday night, and it still smelled Tuesday morning when we checked out. During our stay I read other reviews complaining about the musty smell/air conditioning problem, and reporting the same response from the maintenance staff. I understand extreme heat, and I will admit that I am more fussy than most people when it comes to a/c I like it cool and dry especially when I am trying to sleep, but for the price of the rooms (a little over $600 for three nights) I would expect the a/c to function properly. My guess is that the buildings system needs a serious overhaul or replacement, and that it would be very costly. Costly as it may be, damp conditions will cause a bunch of other problems in time, and it makes everything smell a little funky. Not a terrible experience, but we will probably not return.

We were in room 215 for Labor Day weekend. I thought since we were far enough from the boardwalk we wouldn't get the noise. We got absolutely NO sleep because of the traffic/drunk people to and from Fager island. As soon as we pulled in the parking lot, a man approached my husband checking to make sure we were actually staying at the hotel since they didn't want people from the restaurant/club parking there. Honestly, it could've been anyone. The guy didn't have anything on him to let us know he worked for the hotel. It was a nice gesture though. Additionally, we were on the side with the view of the parking lot. Not what I expected at all. The balcony is standing room only and the view of the water/swamp was out of the corner. The pull out sofa was disgusting. The kitchen, which I was under the impression it was full kitchen, was not. The walls are paper thin. The pool is fairly small. This place needs some serious updating. I do have to say that I did not rent directly through the place. Lesson learned. I took pictures....once I figure out how to put them on here I will. Also, no hot water on labor day. We had to take ice cold showeres before we left...maybe its because the toilet was running off and on all night.

Great views for sunset lovers! Nice location off the main strip, kind of hidden. Hotel is typically $250 a night which is very high but we got it for $90 off-season for March. Room was clean and had a great balcony. Separate room for the bedroom and a decent kitchen. I would come back for a romantic weekend, however, it's in OCMD and right next to Fager's Island which is a huge meat market. Convenient to the boardwalk. I think this is perfect for couples who are a bit into the beach scene but may want to stay away from the seedy crowds near the beach.

I wouldnt have known about this hotel if not for my very resourceful friend. I thought the hotel was very cute compared to the others on the strip. When we walked into the hotel, we were taken by how grand the foyer looked. I thought it had a colonial-style design, it was really neat. At first we risked having to cramp in one room because it was sold-out online but it turned out that there were rooms available so i went ahead and bought another room. My gf and me shared this room, it had a nice balcony, a living room that was separated from bedroom and a clean bathroom. We were walking distance from Fager's Island Nightclub, literally across a bridge, as usual my resourceful friend thought of all that for all of us. I had a very good night's sleep, it was breezy but quiet.

My boyfriend and I stayed here this past week because we had purchased a groupon. I must say that we will never return. I'll start from the beginning, when we checked in everything seemed great. The hotel was beautiful from the outside, front desk employees were friendly and welcoming. We got to our room and it seemed nice enough. We hit the AC on and discovered to our dismay that it just plain didn't work. So we attempted to open some windows....and none of the windows open. They aren't broken, they just don't open. So then we opened the french doors that had sliding doors onto the balcony and the sliding doors just kept coming off the track. Infuriating. So we dealt with all of those things and went out to explore. When we returned it was rather late. My boyfriend used the bathroom and the toilet clogged. We went down to the front desk and they gave us a plunger. This would be fine if it only happened this one time but it happened this time and every time we used the bathroom following. Can I tell you how mortifying it is to have a maintenance man come in to fix your very clogged toilet on your vacation? This happened over and over and they just would give us a plunger or send maintenance. Finally the night before we left, I spoke to a manager and he gave us a new room. This was appreciated but having to move all of our stuff the night before we leave was super frustrating. When we got to the new room, there was working AC and a good set of screen doors but I don't think they had changed the sheets before we went in. I found multiple hairs on the sheets that were not ours. If we weren't leaving the next morning (it also was about 1am when i went to bed), I would have complained. Then I attempted to plug my phone in to charge, when I put the charger in the outlet it fell out. No joke. All of the outlets in the living room were too large. They had lamps that we could not even plug in. How does that happen?! Also, I wish when we had booked we would have known that the pool would not be open and that more than half of Ocean City is closed unless it's the weekend. There was very little for us to do. Even restaurants closed before 5pm. There was no room service or even vending machines (with the exception of soda) so if you were hungry after 5pm, good luck. Good things: the bedding was soft and comfortable, the view was beautiful but I'm sure during the summer it is probably very buggy (right over marshy land) and loud (across from Fagers Island). That's about it. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The sunsets from the back bay view rooms are absolutely breath taking. The property has been well maintained and is very clean. The staff was friendly, the manager Keeba was a hoot! I'll definitely be back. The fact that it's so close to Fager's is a plus too!

Your basic place. However the floor looked very clean but when you looked at the bottom of your feet they were black. Only a block walk to the beach.
